We recently tested the DryShade SkyCandy on our 10-month-old, and I'm impressed with the thoughtful details. Straight out of the box, the packaging feels high-quality. The material is soft, breathable, and well-stitched — lightweight but sturdy enough to hold its shape.
The UPF 50+ protection is exactly what you want for tender baby skin. I love the wide brim and the neck flag (the flap that covers the back of the neck). They keep the sun off without making my baby feel like he's wearing a shield. The adjustable chin strap is a must-have — my little one tries to pull the hat off, but with the strap secured, it stays put. There's also a small pocket inside the hat, which I use to tuck the loose ends or store a tiny toy. The mesh lining keeps the hat cool, even on hot summer walks.
